Ever since I first heard records of John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and James Cotton as a young teenager, I have been in love with the Blues. Since I saw BB King, Albert Collins, and Junior Wells play live in the 1980s I knew all I wanted to do is play the Blues.Over the past 3 decades I have played street corners, bars, clubs, concert halls and festivals, backed local artists and great international artists such as Joe Louis Walker, Lucky Peterson, Jimmy Johnson and many many others. I have also led my own bands, releasing 8 albums of original Blues (#9 is on the way…)And I still love the Blues… if you like music, check mine out.
The Blues power is a 5 piece band featuring Dov Hammer along with Gil Katzir and Yair Fine on guitars, Amos Springer on bass guitar and Nir Segal on drums. Together they play authentic Chicago-style Blues, with harmonica and slide guitar providing the “real-deal” flavor for songs by artists such as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed and Robert Johnson – and some Dov Hammer originals…
